I think this movie was expected to be something it wasnt. It just ends up being kind of weird and only mildly funny, which i guess was probably what they were going for, but it didnt work out very well in the end.

Jim Carrey is great, this movie does him no justice! This is definitely one of the stupidest movies ever!

As drama, it's a near miss. Yet as an introduction -- or a reminder -- of a singular talent, it has its appeal.

What is most wonderful about Man on the Moon, a very good film, is that it remains true to Kaufman's stubborn vision.

A movie that's too conventional to capture Kaufman's insanity and too haphazard, too shapeless, to recapture Kaufman's energy in any meaningful way.
