I think this movie was expected to be something it wasnt. It just ends up being kind of weird and only mildly funny, which i guess was probably what they were going for, but it didnt work out very well in the end.
A very amazing performance of Jim carey. Funny and some sad moment ...I think its one of the best Jim carrey movie ...Not the best...but near ...

Funny, challenging and very poignant, this is an extremely fine film, which, rather than being an study of the enigma that was Kaufman, just relates his story, as, it seems, he was indefinable.
Jim Carrey is great, this movie does him no justice! This is definitely one of the stupidest movies ever!
Superb. Interesting as well, as I'd only really known Kaufman as Latka. Ironic or what?
A strong performance from Carrey and co. Sheds some light on the enigmatic life of Kaufman.
awesome movie...before i saw this i didn't know who andy kaufman was, and now im his new biggest fan...
oh and jim carrey's a frikkin CHAMELEON!!
There were far too many fake outs in this movie for me to take anything seriously, but at least Jim Carrey was pretty good in it.
