Rob Lowe and Demi Moore give a relationship the college try. These people would be a whole lot happier if they stopped listening to their friends.

This doesn't necessarilly indicate there's anything wrong with with the film, they simply seem to be pretty good friends reiminising over good times. It does seem very strange that Ed Zwick made this picture. He definitely seems to have taken off in different directions now that he has more control over his destiny. I imagine I'd appreciate the picture more is I were more familiar with Chicago. It's a picture that doesn't quite fit with other genre pictures, from this era or any other. It seems pretty unique. It's somehow nieve and innocent, not despiet, but because of the overt sexuality. It doesn't follow any romantic comedy or drama romance formula, even if it does have some similarities to pictures from these genres. Quality performances, script, and direction. It's a freeze frame in time, but it also reflects timeless issues. Definitely seems much more independent than Hollywood.
Favorite movie ever. Demi Moore beautiful and sexy. Rob Lowe pretty much the same.

Altogether, a stellar 80s flick!
Demi Moore was my favorite actress growing up in the 80's and I love her in this romance movie. I'll recommand this movie to anybody who loves romantic comedy movies.
My FAVORITE movie of all time...
"You know, those fucking firemen make out like bandits!"
"Well was she a pro
"A pro Dan? A pro is how you think of yourself"
" She give head? To You I mean, she give head to you?"

Great,great great movie!!!!
A real guilty pleasure for me. It was a date movie for my husband and me and it still seems romantic. Great cast, great soundtrack!
Ridiculous cheesey 80's romance... definitely dated... Demi looks great though!
Memories..........all very nice. Early Demi, lovely and true to her roll. Super cool.

But this movie just didn't do it as well. They play a bit older people in these roles. The movie is a love story, but it moves kind of slow. I mean don't get me wrong. The movie was decent, but you feel like you only want to watch it once. James Belushi was thrown in as the comic relief. He did an ok job, but he wasn't that funny. Demi Moore's friend played by Elizabeth Perkins was the other comic relief who acted good, but like Belushi, was not that funny. So overall, it was an ok movie, decent love story, just a movie to watch on a Sunday afternoon.
