It's the slapstick Die Hard. Eddie Murphy chortles his way through your every day generic cop drama that's hinged totally on his charasmatic performance. Has its funny moments, not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
A classic 80s action/comedy, Murphy is at the top of his game as Axel Foley, and well teamed with Reinhold's newbie cop and Ashton's no-nonsense vet.
