This movie is so beautiful from Liv Tyler, to the Tuscan scenery to the love story, its tribute to the arts, and the triumph of love for family and friends in spite of their shortcomings. The soundtrack is incredible too!
European style movie...a bit hard to understand at the beginning, but the Italy Tuscany countryside scenery at Brolio is surely breathtaking...Must go there one day...

Bertolucci at his finest. This movie catapulted Liv Tyler to international stardom.

A girls quest to find her real father, and pop her cherry along the way...

In contrasting the sexuality and rebellion of Lucy's generation with his own, Bertolucci clearly yearns to rekindle his creative spirit.full review
The movie plays like the kind of line a rich older guy would lay on a teenage model, suppressing his own intelligence and irony in order to spread out before her the wonderful world he would like to give her as a gift.full review
