Tom Cruise was just way too perfect in his role for this to be considered a romantic comedy. It's got a really good story that is a lot more that it tends to get credit for. Cameron Crowe always manages to get a very realistic tone to his characters, which is quite refreshing.
Why people will continue to say Tom Cruise can't act will always be a question to me. This film is another example of his ability. Now I have always loved Cameron Crowe and now I am convinced he can do no wrong.

Jerry goes his own separate ways as he is followed by another worker, Dorothy, who believes in his statement, and works with the only client that he has left to get his career back into place. Great performances, great movie.

This is my favorite Tom Cruise performance. Admit it, he had you at hello.
