Unfortunately, there's nothing to this movie that's really all that interesting. We've all seen the movie where someone has an affair, it leads to murder, and there's a struggle to cover it all up (Body Heat did this story better, just for one example). There's really nothing new here, which is why I'll give a negative rating to a movie I at least partially enjoyed watching. There's no real reason for this film to exist.

Very well done. Not entirely original (it's based on a French film from the 60s, "La Femme infidèle", which I really want to see), but beautifully directed and acted. I enjoyed this erotic look at unfaithfulness in a relationship and it's implications (albeit exaggerated somewhat), but still worth a looksee.

Haunting and intense. I couldn't take my eyes of this. One of Gere's all-time great performances.
