Just laugh-out-loud funny... perfect for baseball fans who don't mind throwing a little mud at their favorite sport!
An extremely funny baseball buddy comedy. Too bad they struck out with the sequels.
A classic in 80s comedy and sports movies, Major League is a guy movie at its best.

It definitely seems to have been a harbinger of things to come, albeit at a much later date (i.e. funny sports movies like Dodgeball and Semi-Pro). The mix of characters is eclectic and quite complementary. One of the things I enjoy most about the film is that it doesn't aspire to be anything it isn't. It seems quite happy to simply be a solidly entertaining and fun picture. The baseball scenes aren't half bad either, but what really makes them work are the well developed cast of characters.
I love baseball, but don't recall seeing this. I think I saw part of it a long time ago.
