Great action sequences and a decent storyline. However, the second film seems to lack the element that makes the first great. Don't know what it is though...but all in all it's a fun action flick and provokes the audience to think at certain parts.

like many trilogies, not as good as the first but not as deep as the third. it's a transition film.
Neo, the ultimate Mary-Sue, beds the chick in latex as he once again dodges bullets and breaks things in slo-mo, while showing us that cool people don't do facial expression. Spectacle dependent on the quality of the CGI, which is dating fast.
While not as good as some others in the series, it was still interesting with good matrix style fight scenes. It was confusing to tell who was human, and who were robots. The ending leaves me waiting to see the next movie.
Undoubtedly the best movie every made. Great sorry, great characters, intriguing storyline (in the good sense), and awesome graphics
Critic Reviews
An ugly, bloated, repetitive movie that builds to a punch line that should have come an hour earlier.full review
Eyes will pop, nerves will jangle, thoughts will be provoked and other summer blockbusters will shrink in comparison. But to quote from one of the few cultural touchstones not referenced in this film: 'Houston, we've got a problem.'full review
For sheer exhilarating spectacle, The Matrix Reloaded is the film to beat this year.full review
The thrill isn't gone from the sequel, but the surprise is, and it hurts more than you'd think.full review
