All of the symbolism is just as obvious as can be and the characters essentially do nothing except become martyrs for an unknown cause. It clearly relied on special effects, which is never a good thing to do.
More intellectual than the previous two, which angered the more neanderthal fans, but delighted intellectuals like myself.
To complete the trilogy, yet another movie with an intriguing storyline, excellent graphics, and good execution! A must see for action and sci-fi lovers!
did the writters not learned from previous failure? Or at least red their own flaking material?! geesh and WHY ress the Bit- i mean trinity just to kill her again?
The first matrix was apparently 10 years work. The 2 after weren't and it fucking shows in spades.
It had the action and the amazing effects. BUT...was there any need for the blaspheming which polluted the movie. Plus, the ending was really weird and not a satisfying ending of a great triology. They should make a prequel, that would be amazing.
Critic Reviews
Over all, The Matrix Revolutions, the third and last of the film cycle envisioned by Andy and Larry Wachowski, mostly feels as hackneyed as the first film felt fresh.full review
The sibling masterminds abandon all humor and most invention for a series of Mr. Wizard cosmic cliches.full review
In a basic and undeniable sense, this is a good movie, and fans who have earned their credit hours with the first two will want to see this one and graduate.full review
True believers will be reaching for the red pill, but it's still not quite enough to convert the heretics.full review
Reloaded was certainly a lumpy, gaseous treatise of a movie, but viewers of Revolutions may find themselves looking back on it fondly.full review
Louder, longer, more expensive and dumber than its predecessors, Revolutions is a mediocrity that will provide escapism only to those who head for the theater exits.full review
