Gripping, enticing, filled with deceit, tragedy, backstabbing and the drama that is Wall Street.

The conclusion felt unrealistic as the viewer might expect the Gordon Gekkos of the world to be accountable for their actions in court and the Bluestar employees of the world would still have their union jobs even when an investor saves the company. Well, reality is often unpredictable.
Really cool movie, one of Stone's better efforts. Douglas's "greed" speech is a classic.
"The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth." - Michael Douglas' character
The consequences of insider trading means the loss of job security. I like how the film shows the difference between building from the ground up compared to striping business and selling off the parts.
What a very good movie! =D It has great story a lot of back story and wonderful actors! Filled with betrayals and non-stop constant watch! It is a really good movie!!

Charlie Sheen plays an up an coming stock broker who partners with Michael Douglas's character Gordon Gecko. He quickly becomes involved in illegal insider trading in an attempt to move up in the Wall Street world. The dynamic between Douglas and Sheen is impressive. Even more impressive is the scenes between Charlie Sheen and his dad Martin Sheen, who happens to play his father in the film as well. There back and forth in the scene in the elevator is packed with emotion and is acted very well. Pretty good for a movie made over 20 years ago. Looking forward to the sequel
One of Stone's best, and as slick as Douglas' hair. Really enjoyed the ride, and I feel I've walked away knowing how to make my millions on the stock market... bring on the sequel

Great text, great acting, and impeccable direction makes this talker a thriller. Unfortunately, much like Stone's "Natural Born Killers", the "sympathy for the devil" factor in the is movie is perserve and might elude unattentive audiences in search of entertainment. A classic nonetheless.
Critic Reviews
Stone's most impressive achievement in this film is to allow all the financial wheeling and dealing to seem complicated and convincing, and yet always have it make sense.full review
