After fleeing his Japanese captors in Borneo during World War II, American prisoner of war Learoyd (Nick Nolte) hides out in the jungle, where he's ta...(read more...) ken in by a tribe of headhunters who consider him sacred because of his intricate tattoos. When British soldiers discover Learoyd two years later, they're astonished that he's been crowned king. Now, they want him to rejoin the Allied fight, but Learoyd resists -- until his tribe is threatened.
