I love this movie. Love love love. Funny that the guy who composed the music for this movie also composed the music for "A Little Princess" (Patrick Doyle)

Brightly & lightly done under the Tuscan sun. A tale for our times & merits the young modern
actors who seem to get a lot of out of it as we did.

Emma Thompson is fantastic as Beatrice, and Kenneth Branagh is surprisingly hilarious as Benedick. My main gripe is Robert Sean Leonard as Claudio--I have a really hard time feeling sorry for him AT ALL. Also, Keanu Reeves is laughable, in the worst possible way, as Don John. But the direction, the cinematography, and the other members of the supporting cast (Denzel! Michael Keaton!) totally make up for these two dim spots. A wonderful adaptation of the play.
