(read more) Max "The King of Alibis" Burdett and his beautiful accomplice Lola have come to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, fresh off their final big score in which they lifted the second of the three famous Napoleon diamonds. With their financial future set, the couple is ready to relax and enjoy their hard-earned riches. But Stan, the FBI agent who has spent years in dogged but failed pursuit of Max, refuses to believe that his nemesis is actually calling it quits. He thinks that Max and Lola are actually plotting to steal the third Napoleon diamond--one of the three largest non-flawed diamonds in the world--, which is coincidentally scheduled to arrive on Paradise Island as part of a touring cruise ship exhibition. Since he has no jurisdiction in the Caribbean country, Stan teams with a local cop and sets out to catch the sly Max and Lola in the act, while at the same time a local gangster has his own plans for the diamond. When the longtime adversaries meet up in paradise, Max quickly turns the tables and befriends the frustrated detective, showing him that Paradise Island has no shortage of pleasures to offer. But in order for Stan to figure out exactly what Max and Lola are up to, he will have to navigate all the twists and double-crosses of an action-packed story of friendship, suspicion and thievery

Bit of fluff, but I sat through it while it was on TV.
Saw the "twist" about five minutes in but put my brain away after that and enjoyed Pierce, Salma and Woody's chemistry.
You can probably understand the story by watching just the last 5 minutes. The only downside is you mss Selma Kayek prancing around in almost no clothes for 1 hour 35 minutes.

Occasionally he ends up being in films co starring The Nanny or Daffy Duck. Or you end up being George Lazenby. So welcome, Pierce, to the pasture that holds all of the former 007's. You'll never live it down (unless you're Scottish).
The film is about a jewel thief (Brosnon) who commits his last heist with his girl (Salma Hayek) so that he can retire to the Bahamas. Of course, we know it won't be his last heist because there's still an hour and a half left in the film. The couple are living the good life to its dullest until the FBI man he ruined (Woody Harrelson) shows up to harass our thief over a cruise ship docked on the island that holds yet another huge, unsellable diamond.
To make a long story short. Sure, the film is way over the top with most of the characters having telekinetic powers. It's like a criminal X-Men because they can plan each others moves like clockwork. The script is ridiculous and knows it. That's what's OK about this film. it knows its borderline crap and goes with it. There isn't much action involved with Brosnon making Harrelson look like a horses ass throughout the film, but it's acceptable because it won't really bore you. And it's better than Mamma Mia.
Until the last few minutes of this movie you'd think this is just a pretty average movie but it's clever. I'd like it.
Nothing new to offer. It's more close to comedy than action. It's a good one for the fans of Salma Hayek's beauty.
Stupid and cheesy. I was embarrassed for them during the fishing and bed-sharing scenes. Not worth the time....
A few interesting twists, a typical Pierce Brosnan movie. Loved the inter character twists with penn and brosnan. Very unoriginal and very easy to watch and charming.
A pretty good, fun flick about a diamond heist. Good mix of action (caper) and comedy.

After the Sunset is content to take in the sights and ogle the ladies.full review
After the Sunset is about as flat-footed a heist caper as I've ever seen: clumsy where it should be graceful, lumpy where it should be sleek.full review
The movie floats by like a drunken, mindless afternoon.full review
After the Sunset is the kind of glossy, Hollywood-forged waste of time that would depress even the most happily lackadaisical retiree.full review
