Underrated indeed, this movie was Whoopi's third great film within 2 years (following "Jumin' Jack Flash" and "Ghost") and this one, for sure, is as heartbreaking as it is heart-wrenching.

i saw this movie for the 1st time at camp when i was ~11 years old. i loved it then and i love it now. i rented it several times after the initial showing.
