How wonderful to see Michael Pare back in a decent flick, even if he played a total jackass. The chemistry between Bullock and Connick is off the charts while the casting of Gena Rowlands was genius. Top it all off with a great story and a fantastic soundtrack and you've got a great movie that I continue to come back to often, over 10 years later.
Pas un mauvais film, quelques scenes charmantes et quelques longueurs. Pas un grand film, mais quand meme un petit film mignon.

I enjoyed this film and Gena Rowlands was wonderful as her mother. Harry Conick Jr, as the love interest, fills a pair of jeans rather well though his acting's nothing to write home about. It's a very sentimental story and doesn't really go anywhere, the kind of film that is out of fashion now. But it's touching, thoughtful and the female leads (directed by Forest Whitaker) are worth anyone's time. Just a simple story about love and loss but heartfelt and nicely observed.
