While I enjoyed the film, I can't help but think it could have been much more than it was. And anything with Diana Rigg (especially a young Diana Rigg) is worth checking out.

This movie is completely insane! Reed is great and seemed sober for most of the picture. And Diana Rigg still makes me think of sex even when wearing unrevealing clothing. Kinda falls apart in the second half, but overall great fun.

Smart quirky comedy about a secret society of assassins of all things. Yup, it's weird like that. It's a fun rental if you want to try something different.

This film would not survive in a pure Hollywood element, as we witnessed with the remake of The Avengers.

I sincerly don't understand why these kind of movies are still not on dvd...if you're lucky you'll have the possibility to watch it on La7 channel...

Oliver Reed and Diana Rigg excel in this witty, farcical comedy on a gentlemanly society of killers in 'Proud Tower' Europe, but are matched by wonderfully shameless performances from a gaggle of premier 'caricature-actors'. The colour and verve of the 1960s (with not a little nod to the espionage-stylings of the time) infuse the film's zeppelins, mutton-chop whiskers and Ruritanian pageantry with an infectious and appropriately irreverent lustre.

Very silly, but very funny comedy, with outstandingly over-the-top performances from every actor. Well worth watching for a different sort of comedy.

This may be as close as you'll get to a proper Avengers movie. Absurd but quite watchable, if you're in the right mood.
