I'd love to see Albert Brooks in more versatile roles. Can't stand Michael Douglas. I didn't even know this was a comedy until somebody told me.
I wanted to see this cause Ryan Reynolds is in it and he is hot as always, but I think my ADD kicked in cause I couldn't really focus on the plot and why this dude was an agent and doing all these crazy things.
Albert Brooks and Michael Douglas is great together, I don't have much to say about the rest of the film though.
This movie is Hilarious. Loved the cast and the story on this remake. Definate watch!!!

A waste of Brooks' formidable talents and a desecration of a wonderful comedy that in no way needed "improving" upon. Please, go check out the original with Peter Falk and Alan Alda, and destroy every copy of this horrible remake you come across.
ihme, että David Suchet oli lähtenyt mukaan tällaiseen...no, sellainen perjantai-illan hömppäleffa
A cross between Meet the Parents and James Bond, a funny film if slightly predicable
Critic Reviews
It's a pleasure to see Douglas in a rare movie where he doesn't have to grit his teeth in tension, just as it's always a pleasure to watch Brooks get mentally tortured.full review
Everything sly and low-key about The In-Laws, a 1979 comedy about a dentist and a rogue CIA agent with nothing in common except that the son of one is marrying the daughter of the other, is supersized and coarsened in Andrew Fleming's remake.full review
The remake knows the moves but lacks the recklessness.full review
A vehicle for Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks that manages to bring out the most annoying aspects of their respective personalities.full review
It's as if the director, Andrew Fleming, and the screenwriters, Nat Mauldin and Ed Solomon, set out to make a movie that would be mediocre in every respect. If so, they have completely succeeded.full review
