This time around, Quatermain is seeking his brother (Martin Rabbett), who has disappeared while on an expedition to locate a legendary white tribe in Africa. Quatermain's search leads him to the title city, which is controlled by evil Henry Silva (overacting with relish). Director Gary Nelson and returning writer Gene Quintano achieve a few more half-hearted laughs here than in its predecessor, and the cast, which includes James Earl Jones and Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson, do their best with the material, but this can't hold a candle to the 1937 and 1950 film versions of King Solomon's Mines. --Paul Gaita

This tacky sequel doesn't completely suck - it has some nice scenery and funny dialogue - but it doesn't have even a fraction of the charm and adventure as the original and the recycled soundtrack, dodgy sets and dodgier special effects give it a nasty, cheap feel.
almost craptacular. it's just regular crap though. not well done in any aspect.
Lol I saw this when I was little. It was a rip off of Indiana Jones without the beauty of Harrison Ford
Sharon Stone and Richard were OK in this movie-these two actors I recognised-Sharon looked better as a younger woman than she does now
This sequel surprisingly gets off to a better start than its predecessor, but then quickly devolves into the same kind of pitiful dreck again. Wow -- James Earl Jones, Sharon Stone, Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson, and Richard Chamberlain (before he was out) attempt to capitalize on the Indiana Jones saga. Mixed results, but an entertaining B-movie.
I really liked the Allan Quatermain movies when I was a kid.
This one isn't nearly as it used to be but is still a good adventure movie.
