Good screenplay and convincing performances by the lead stars.. especially Jessica Lange, who played out the role of the wicked n shrewed Martha..
I give it a 3 and a half stars..:)
I've always found it hard to deal with Gwyneth and her big bag of BS, but if I pretend she's someone else, I find that I really enjoy this.

By all rights, it's a terrible movie. The pacing is all over the place, the script is middling at best and the acting is hit or miss.
Jessica Lange, clearly, is the only reason to watch this. She's so bad that she's perfect. She gave a two-note performance, meaning she was either a flirtatiously modest southern belle, or she was certifiably crazy. Luckily, that's all the role asked of her and she played it up for all it was worth.
My biggest complaint is that there wasn't really any kind of throw down between Martha and Helen at the end. It was just very tame exposition that seemed anti-climactic after the birth scene.
If you like psuedo-camp or movies that are so bad they're good, then this is definitely the ticket.
This is one of the 3 movies I walked out on in a theater... horrible!
Why won't facebook let me give this a 0/5?
.... And why did I sit through it??! My god...
I don't know what really happened in this...I just knew I hated it and found it a waste of talent.

Hush is the kind of movie where you walk in, watch the first 10 minutes, know exactly where it's going, and hope devoutly that you're wrong.full review
