Quintessential ghost story. I watched this movie many times while growing up. Very freaky. A windy, misty day never felt quite the same after watching this film.

I haven't seen this movie n years, but remember it as being rather scary when my kids were younger. Of course, Bette Davis can do that without acting!

american family comes over to england to stay in creppy house - strange eldritch horrors start happening. For a Disney film its pretty creepy, and good.

This is one of those rare movies that creeps you out, is ok for kids and has a happy ending ;)
I love it love it...it is a great movie.

all I gotta say is, WATCH the SPECIAL FEATURES! I don't know how this director convinced Disney to include a space alien in this story. He must have been a MAD GENIUS!

My brother and I used to watch this constantly on the Disney Channel. There is an alternate ending on the DVD that is completely worth watching; it's the funniest, stupidest alternative ending I have ever seen.

Well, she showed this movie and the entire class went home and cried to their parents. The teacher got in a lot of trouble for not getting parental signatures before viewing. Her name was Mrs. Stevensen and she was a badass. I love this movie and I love her.

Scary, Spooky,Jumpy and its got the brillient Bette Davies in it, what more could i ask for - oh yes, the alternative ending version with the aliens that is no longer in print and if it is its damn expensive! Recommended..
