That the film also has a slow-moving pace and is made more for laughs than suspense are also things that don't help. A missed opportunity. It should have kicked ass.

Weak! but I'll watch it any time just to see Helen Slater in her supergirl outfit. I remember watching this back in the day for the soul reason to see Superman In a cameo. I think supergirl was my first crush !

I know it's from the 80s, but really, how can people get away with making crap like this? It's almost as if they wanted people to say "Ha Ha! It's so bad it's good!" but it's just sad. Really sad.

Regardless of which version you see this is still a wasted opportunity. It has its moments but they are outnumbered by some overacting and a dodgy script.

Hard to believe there's a movie worse than Superman IV, but here it is. Poor poor Helen Slater, and what the hell were you thinking Faye Dunaway, you were in bloody Network?

What can anyone say about this movie? It wasn't that bad but it wasn't good either. The movie would have been much better if superman was in it, but for reasons that did not work. If in the mood for a cheesy comic book, see this
