Le film reste fortement ancre dans son epoque - en l'occurrence, les annees 80 - et n'est pas foncierement drole (dans le domaine des Relations conjugales a l'epoque, rien ne vaut "La Guerre des Rose" ) mais on suit avec un certain interet les stratagemes mis en oeuvre par Rosanne Barr pour detruire la vie de son ex-epoux...!

Meryl Streep is my favorite actress, and she was wonderful in it. This was just a very awkward plot.

They used to show this on Comedy Central all the time, back in the day, along with Transylvania 6-500. Didn't watch it then, ain't watching it now.

The only problem is the fact that Roseanne was horribly miscast. She may play the perfect shrill TV mother, but she is simply not a good movie wife. You may start out hoping for Roseanne to win in the end, but by halfway through the movie you start to hope for the wrong women. As one critic put it "Watching Meryl Streep at work in Susan Seidelman's She-Devil is to behold an illusionist at work.". The review was partly confirmed by that fact that Ms. Streep was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance of Mary Fisher. The supporting cast helps round out the movie with Linda Hunt as the jaded Nurse Hooper and Sylvia Miles as the widly entertaining Mrs. Fisher.

This was a pleasant little confection. Roseanne is made for her role, and while Meryl Streep is miscast, it's all good fun in the end.

I think the working title to this film was "Every Jilted Woman's Fantasy".

Good for a few laughs. It's awesome to see Meryl Streep's world completely crumble around her. Other than that, it was unremarkable.

Strange high-concept 80s leftover works if enjoyed as a "good bad movie". Rather awkward affair for all.

Meryl Streep is really funny and sometimes its nice to take time out and remember that.

Great movie for some saturday afternoon laughs.

Who would ever think that Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr would be in a movie together. Surprisingly it works, Meryl can do comedy as well as she does drama, she can do anything.
