Oh I ADORE this film, I'm not one for romantic comedies but this is brilliant! One of my favorite movies EVER!!!!
The twist was very confusing.... but the effects, cast, clothing and bloopers were so enjoyable I bought the DVD soon after seeing it on TV.
never fails to remin me of "el fankoosh" don't even ask whats the relevance !!
This was quite entertaining! Set in the 60's, the outfits were fabulous, especially on Renee. It got a bit tedious near the end, but I was really impressed with the duet during the credits.
turely horrible casting and truely horrible innovative cinematography..where you frequently are viewing the screen with multiple views and dialogs up at once. Silly battle of the sexes type movie...predictable, but somewhat enjoyable...

It's an anti-"love" film that's all about love, an homage to 1950's screwball comedies while completely reversing and parodying the dynamic that those films were centered on. It makes this reversal clear from the start by smartly establishing a society where traditional gender roles have been removed and, as a result, begin to push in the opposite direction. And then comes the third act, starting with the big reveal, where the whole story falls apart. What begins as a smart but sophomoric, energetic but contained, satirical but sweet comedy fizzles into, well, standard rom-com convenience. Too bad really. Still, what works in the movie works so well that it makes the rest of it worth seeing.
wow... that was a terrible movie.... idk what ppl find good in this movie cuz i didnt see anything....
I love, love, love this movie! Think Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Wonderfully fun and a little bit cheesy. I really wish they'd make more like this!

After 10 minutes of getting poked in the ribs with every shot, I thought, 'Is it going to be like this for 90 minutes?'full review

This pitch-perfect imitation of a Rock Hudson-Doris Day nonsex comedy features Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor and a passel of visual delights. But why should we care?full review
It's a cute premise, and several co-stars help keep the fun going for a while.full review
Like a champagne bottle left uncorked, it's not as fizzy as it should be.full review
No better or worse than the movies that inspired it, but that is a compliment, I think.full review
