It had good casting and Chris Columbus (the director of "Home Alone") once again does a great job of combining slapstick with heart. It was sort of like a wackier version of "Knocked Up". I wonder if Judd Aptow saw this movie beforehand because the plots are relatively similar to one another. The interesting thing is, as much as I liked "Knocked Up" and its more realistic take on unexpected pregnantcy, this movie was actually funnier just because it was so surreal. The ending is problably the best part, when all hell breaks loose at the hospital. Techneclly speaking, it is a chick flick, but it does not really come off that way, so I would recommend this film to either gender.

Add in the complication of pregnancy and the fact that our prissy hero is not ready for it - can you smell the awkwardness yet? Add in obnoxious acting and horrible, horrible performances by otherwise good actors like Robin Williams and Tom Arnold. Add in some of the most unfunny, uncomfortable and unenjoyable comedy ever laid down, and you have the recipe for disaster that is Nine Months. God, this sucks.
Charming movie but very typical to Hugh Grant. There was some funny moments and the cast did fairly well. It was a movie that very over-did everything but that was the point. It was pretty enjoyable for the most part at least.

"Sam! My water broke!"
"Well, we'll get you another one!"
"I'm ten days late."
"And there's no way you could have had it and not noticed?"
"You have a girl. Unless I cut the wrong cord."
Dear lord, this was one bad movie. Totally predictable, boring and dumb. The cast is full of great actors, yet they fail to salvage the poor plot.
I wonder if Hugh Grant plays a floppy haired, English nincompoop in this.
I like Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore, but I don't much like this run-of-the-mill movie.
