I couldn't even finish this steaming pile of whatsit. Only for the Masochistic at heart.

The kids are a ton of fun in this, of course Byong Sun is the best (and he does look delcious). It's hard not to like this film. Sure it's predictable and it's been done many times, but it's just so entertaining.
Ferrell can't always hit a home run... or a triple... or even a double... singles ain't the worst.
This was a sweet movie, good for kid, fun, typical Will Ferrel at times and others very thoughtfull and different.
It wasn't a great movie, but it was good entertainment with a somewhat moral lecture behind.
Ferrell's worst

This was sort of a weird role for him in which his character isn't overly zany or over the top. Now thats fine and all (he was excellent in stranger than fiction) but here he felt jarringly out of place. In the last chunk of the movie when he becomes obsessed and sports the tiger stripped out fit the film developes a bit of a comedic flare but it isn't for long.
An overly family-friendly, unfunny underdog sports movie that apparently evaded the 90's
unbelievable brilliant story great cast of kids and Will Ferrel always a pleasure what ever role hes playing a feel good underdog tale
Lol omg.. can't help but love this movie. If there's one thing Will Ferrell's good at it's hissy fits.
As a fan of Will Ferrell, this was dissapointing. it was alright for light hearted entertainment, but no laugh out loud moments at all.
Critic Reviews
It just plods along, harmless but lifeless, going exactly where you think it's going.full review
Sit in a room by yourself, look at a blank screen for 90 minutes, and you'll have more of a chance of laughing at your own thoughts than you will at this movie.full review
Both Duvall and Mike Ditka, who plays himself and helps coach Phil's team, spend too much of the movie on the bench, and while they're there, the jokes run thin.full review
Most of the time, [the kids] go along. Most of the time we do, too.full review
A good script is the most essential ingredient for a good movie. Hiring a comedian isn't enough.full review
An entertaining family movie, and may serve a useful purpose if it inspires kids to overthrow their coaches and take over their own sports.full review
A so-so family sports comedy that aims a weak satirical kick at the divided soul of the American middle-class dad, as personified by Will Ferrell.full review
Kicking & Screaming is yet another low-budget, high-concept vehicle for Will Ferrell to say and do dumb stuff, throw hissy-fits, get punched in the face, and find redemption (as both a dad and a son).full review
Kicking & Screaming gives us Ferrell in top form. As the mentor to a squad of hapless 10-year-olds, he's the least mature person on the field.full review
Thank God for coffee, which provides the only caffeinated jolt to the otherwise deflated Kicking and Screaming.full review
