(read more) I love the quaintness of its setting, eccentricity of its characters, their frequent clashes/interactions, the peacefulness of the atmosphere and the small and amusing jokes throughout. Its just in the middle that it loses some of its steam, but only to pick up soon with a sweet climax. But those who claim that it stretches one joke to make a film out of it, I wont completely disagree with them. But if you're missing monsoons, wanting a holiday for long, coping with heat or fed up with the complications of your life then watching this film can turn out to be a treat.

I really liked this movie - seen it a few times in fact - very funny true story. Well told. Hugh Grant is perfectly cast.

Full of familiar faces and great characters this is a film that celebrates the uniqueness of being British.

Another great English comedy!! Hillarious and full of (shall i say) "proper" humour, instead of easy one-liners.... Really enjoyed it and Hugh Grant is for once more acting great in a comedy.
