A must for all big cat or nature lovers! Although the human drama and acting is quite useless (like most human endeavors), the footage of the lions (especially the cubs) is priceless and the majestic African scenery is captured beautifully

Although the dialogue is kitschy and dated, this movie brings me back to being a child and becoming interested in animals and their rights.

Sweet movie. The Story is actually simple, but there's so much uproar in it. To know it's actually based on a true story makes me even love this movie more.

I first saw this movie when I was 10 years old. I saw this movie again and it still blew me away. Humans can be the most compassionate creatures if they choose to be. I will watch it again. Amazing movie.

I loved the movie. It was a lot like the book except Elsa and Joy didn't seem to be as close in the movie as they were in really life. But it is a great movies for anyone who loves lions. I loved hearing Ugas and Boy roar!!

Very cute shots of lion cubs playing around. And, a happy ending. I hope no animals were harmed in the filming

This is a great movie. Its also based on the first novel I rember reading in grade 3.The VHS copy I got in 1988 was also the video in my libbrey, that now numbers at 1020.
