A story of wit and zane. Not a defining role for either actor but one of the decades best. With Robert Zemekis directing who could go wrong.
Great movie, Hanks and DiCaprio are really good together. I liked this film.
This was just crazy - mostly because it was true. Amazing man, amazing life experiences. Must see.
High production value.
Top tier actors.
A screen play that is entertaining and engaging.
What more can you ask for?

Like The Terminal where Spielberg and Hanks are together, this movie also revolves around the emotions of the characters - so a detective is worried about a thief who has been on run for years. Its a well-made perfectly rounded-up movie which gives you a little of everything.
The Great Entertainer
Pluses: Hugely entertaining, no loose ends in the screenplay, terrific performances from DiCaprio and Hanks.
Minuses: A little lengthy and stretched, a few characters seem useless.

What begins brightly gets bogged down over 140 minutes.full review
After a series of dud roles, DiCaprio is back in star form.full review
Ultimately about fathers and sons -- but it's also about the pleasures of telling a good story, with retro charm to spare.full review
The colorful cinematography, smart performances and brisk tempo suggest a filmmaker subordinating every other impulse to the task of manufacturing pleasure.full review
The story is a good story, directly told, and such meaning as it has comes from the irony that the only person who completely appreciates Abagnale's accomplishments is the man trying to arrest him.full review
