One of my favourite films of all time. I love this film for all its aspects, but mainly for one of the best performances by an actress ever. I fell in love with Judi because of this film.

Yes, Judi Dench was amazing, as was Billy Connolly but I felt like something was missing. I think I would have liked to have seen a movie with less politics and more about her family. I know that's hard because we're talking about Queen Victoria but perhaps how a relationship with one of her daughters or grand-daughters was strained by her mourning. I don't know. . .
