Best of the trilogy, but nothing to write home about. It reached its potential in this "we have to look modern so we all gotta wear black suits" vision of X-Men, now please, let's put this vision to rest and start anew.
A lot better than the first. X2 has a lot more substance to it, it's more an introduction to each character's personalities than the first, which seemed to simply focus on introducing their powers. Cox and Cumming are welcome additions to the cast, albeit for just one film, and the sequence in the underground base, and the emotionally charged finale, were actually exciting, something the first never was. Fun, and much more involving than X1.

The best of the X-men films. The series showed so much promise! If only Singer would have stayed with it.
