Since being been named captain of her school's championship-winning cheerleading squad, the San Diego Toros, she's on top of the world. She's determined that nothing-not even her homework, her nagging parents or her perfect college boyfriend-get in the way of leading her squad to its sixth consecutive national title. But the Toro's have some stiff competition this time out from the Clovers, an inner-city, hip-hop squad from Los Angeles. When Torrance learns that her predecessor has been stealing cheer routines for years from the rival squad, she realizes that the Clovers and their captain Isis are looking to even the score and that the Toro's are in big trouble. Things get even worse when Torrance finds herself falling for Cliff, an outsider from school with whom she normally would never associate, and with the national championships only a few weeks away, the pressure is on.

This one reminds me of when my finger poked through the toilet paper and i got shit on it. I had a smell and it immediately caused a reflex action of avoidance. So just like the smell of real shit AVOID!!!
At some level, all men feel alittle dirty watching this. Eliza Dushku...YES!
i said brrrrrr!
i happened to come across it on tv...and was surprised at the humour in it. way better than expected!
Urgh - Toros, Torrance... who scripted that?! Nevermind. I thought that this movie would certainly find appeal amongst cheerleaders, but not being one, I just couldn't warm to the cheers, jumping around, appearing false and over-the-top, etc... Und... I thought that this movie would certainly find appeal amongst cheerleaders, but not being one, I just couldn't warm to the cheers, jumping around, appearing false and over-the-top, etc... Underneath, however, lies a storyline that's not bad - a girl's horror at finding her team's routines had been stolen from another team by her predecessor, and her struggle to put forward something genuine at the championships, while showing that she's good enough to retain her position of captain. My favourite character in this movie was definitely Isis - a strong, confident female role, albeit only seen in small doses, I'd love to have seen more of her in this.
I know, I know, almost no-one likes about this movie, but I do. I don't know, but I just do! Brrr, It's cold in here! (...Although the sequels are bullshit!)
Wasn't sure what I was in for when I watched it, but was pleasantly surprised. Sharper than I expected.
Critic Reviews
Bring It On spins off one sly little joke after another, and the smart ensemble makes every one of them work.full review
The fact that a bouncy teenage sports comedy can even gesture toward serious matters of race and economic inequality is pretty impressive, as is the occasional snarl of genuine satire.full review
We get a strange mutant beast, half Nickelodeon movie, half R-rated comedy. It's like kids with potty-mouth playing grownup.full review
It's another one of those high school pics that don't really have much bearing on the real world. But as fluffy adolescent fantasy, it's better than most.
