I didn't think I would like it, but it seemed to have the right mixer of Tenacious D meets Disney.
peruskomediaa, hieman erikoisemmasta aiheesta. ei petä hollywood huumorin ystävää....
Cute movie. Possibly the last thing JB was in that I felt was worth my time.
we watched this on the bus while coming back from Mexico, and i was really afraid we'd arrive to our destination before the movie ended. different from Linklater's usual style, but brilliant nonetheless.
Hilarious and lovable charactors. Jack Black is a funny man and plays the role of Dewey Finn very very well. A great family film and quite funny for adults too apparently.
Jack Black at his absolute best, but if it was all about Black, it would been named 'The Legend of Dewey Finn' instead of 'School of Rock'. Great ensemble cast of mostly kids, and boy can they play! Just an awesome, awesome movie!

Hail! Hail! Jack Black: He's the clown king of rock & roll.full review
You'll think about it, weeks after seeing it, with a dopey grin on your face. (Yes, right now I have just such a grin on my face. Wanna make something of it?)full review
Here is a movie that proves you can make a family film that's alive and well-acted and smart and perceptive and funny -- and that rocks.full review
School could best be described as The Bad News Bears with heavy-metal guitar moves instead of home runs, but that it touches all the predictable bases somehow becomes part of its charm.full review
An engagingly screwball comic vehicle in which the actor and Tenacious D frontman goes through an inventory of heavy-metal moves and makes a mockery of them at the same time.full review
It gives Jack Black a role perfectly attuned to his comedic and musical gifts.full review
School of Rock tackles its familiar formula with a welcome mixture of reverence, intelligence, and cliché moderation.full review
