horrible ending. what if it rained during the movie??? How bought that M. Night.
I'm totally sorry for the aliens as they were totally misunderstood by the people in this movie :-p

At first I agreed with the characters that the aliens coming to Earth was a bad thing but at the end, I was glad that the aliens came to Earth because they came here to help human by healing/curing the unhealed diseases :-)

I think the aliens seemed very incomplete and honestly not that threatening and the ending just sort of makes you wonder what the hell just happened.
Still I think the film had some strong points and deserves props though I would say the ending was awful in my opinion.
Pretty good. Not the thriller it tried to be, but still good. The twist was rather weak, but it had a good message and a good ending. Even Phoenix did alright. Ranks 4th on Shyamalan films for me (behind Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and The Village)... (read more) Pretty good. Not the thriller it tried to be, but still good. Joaquin Phoenix and a baseball bat... Joaquin Phoenix and a baseball bat...Joaquin Phoenix and a baseball bat.
M NIghts only other movie worth really talking about and watching, I think they should have shown the aliens less. Would have been scarier if left to the imagination.
The ending ruined it. No matter how many times I see this movie, I just can't get a better opinion of it. I just laugh more and more at how ridiculous it is. The story could have been great, but this needs a LOT of work to be any good at all.
Critic Reviews
It's a smart, skillful movie from a writer-director who's only 31 years old, but already a master of blending the chills of fright with the warmth of love.full review
Turns out to have few thoughts and no thrills.full review
The work of a born filmmaker, able to summon apprehension out of thin air.full review
The problem is that Signs manages to be both so terribly serious and so unimportant at the same time.full review
Skillful as he is, Mr. Shyamalan is undone by his pretensions.full review
Unlike the lumbering and portentous Unbreakable, Shyamalan's Signs is a satisfyingly taut suspenser.full review
[Shyamalan] turns the goose-pimple genre on its empty head and fills it with spirit, purpose and emotionally bruised characters who add up to more than body count.full review
