(read more) Dumb and Dumber is the 90's comedy classic of two downright stupid guys, Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels), who embark on a road trip to Aspen in order to return a lost suitcase to Lloyd's dream girl (Lauren Holly) who purposely left the suitcase at the airport for kidnappers (great character actor Mike Starr and former MTV VJ Karen Duffy) who are holding Holly and her family ransom. While half of the movie pays tribute to the comic duo's road tripping across the US through various shenanigans, the second half finally puts them in Aspen where they engage in some more fairly hilarious stuff. For an early 90's film, a surprsing amount of material in this still holds up very well...seriously. Sure, you can tell it's an older movie, but a lot of the material really hasn't dated too much, which genuinely did surprise me. Overall, Dumb and Dumber is a classic film. Not only did the film certify Carrey as a leading funnyman, it showed a different side to Jeff Daniels in an against-type role (who is REALLY funny in this film), and it jump-started the careers of the Farrelly Brothers, who would go on to do other hilarious films like Kingpin, There's Something About Mary, and Shallow Hal. Overall, still a great comedy classic that really appeals to some of us dumb people who enjoy watching other dumb people being dumb. If you can find this film with the added 6 minutes of extra funny stuff; I'd highly recommend that. Great stuff.

This might be Jim Carey's best film.

When he pees on the 2 seater mini bike in aspen and they are stuck together I could cry I laugh so hard every time.

Such an original film!
