(read more) Fresh and original comedy features the one truly great performance by Michael Keaton and has Alec Baldwin back when he used to play good guys (Though I heard he was a gigantic prick on the set and didn't get any of the humor). Funny and entertaining from start to finish and really holds up after all these years. Watch carefully during the scene where Beetlejuice turns into a merry go round......thing and on top of his head you can see the head of what will be Jack Skellington ("........as if you didn't know") Is this one of the greatest comedies ever? no. But it is listed as such on the AFI's greatest comedy list. There isn't much beyond the whacked out visuals and goofy set peices to make this truly stand out like Tim Burton's future films. But Tim Burton was in full swing as a visionary director on this one.
Has a great sense of trademarks towards Halloween and is a lot of fun to watch.
Beeing a child, I have watched it a hundred times, always funny and amaizing!Want to watch it again :)
One of Tim Burton's best and Michael Keaton is awesomely gross. Danny Elfman's music is like the cherry on top of this crazy cake, and again he's the best choice for a very Burtony movie. I loves me some Saturn sand worms :)
A lot of fun. My favorite Tim Burton film (the others are severely below this one). Michael Keaton gives a stunning performance and the whole premise is simply wild, insane, silly, and amazing.

The movie is all anticlimax once we realize it's going to be about gimmicks, not characters.full review
