The start of dark! Harry learns he can talk to snakes and more twists turn up, a great step up from being kiddy, even though it is a family film some scenes will scare kids...yet more awesome effects and great acting from the kids and adults.

Once again, director Chris Columbus takes a hat-in-hand approach to Rowling that stifles creativity and allows the film to drag on for nearly three hours.
