After a confrontation with a house elf named Dobby, Harry escapes to the Weasley house with Ron Weasley in a flying car. They are then late for the train and have to ride it to school. When they get there, strange happenings invade the school. "Mudbloods" (people of Muggle families) are "petrified" by an evil monster lurking in the grounds. When every one suspects that it is him, the trio then set out to find the culprit and find out more than they bargained for: the diary of Tom Riddle, why Hagrid was expelled and what the Chamber of Secrets is and why is it so feared in Hogwarts.

The start of dark! Harry learns he can talk to snakes and more twists turn up, a great step up from being kiddy, even though it is a family film some scenes will scare kids...yet more awesome effects and great acting from the kids and adults.
Si l'univers de la saga n'était pas passionant, le film serait d'un ennui sans nom. Dommage que Colombus ne tente pas d'alleur plus loin que le simple livre d'image.
Very much so like the book and remains one of the best harry potters in my opinion!
wasnt bad but thought the end could have had more action still a good watch though

Just as there is more magic conjured up in Chamber of Secrets the book, Chamber of Secrets the movie weaves a more powerful spell over its audience.full review
No sequelitis here, kids (and grown-ups) -- this franchise is alive and well.full review
Once again, director Chris Columbus takes a hat-in-hand approach to Rowling that stifles creativity and allows the film to drag on for nearly three hours.full review
I can't think of a movie this long that has left me so starved for a movie.full review
The first movie was the setup, and this one is the payoff.full review
Despite terrific special effects and funnier gags, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets finds a way to make J.K. Rowling's marvelous series into a deadly bore.full review
