He runs away from them (finally) and enters his third term facing trouble from more than one side: for using magic outside the school and from the news that a notorious criminal, serial killer Sirius Black, has escaped the wizard's prison at Azkaban and apparently is headed for Harry. The school calls in supernatural help against Black in the form of Dementors, but unusual things continue to put Harry in peril. He is thrown into a confusing panoply of shifting alliegences and shifting shapes where nobody is who or what they seem. Who is the real criminal? What is the real crime? Who is telling or knows the truth?

Better than the first two. These movies get better and better, contrary to how Hollywood usually works. The prior statement isn't ruined by this film's successors either, so keep watching.
I liked this one most yet. I like how the kids are maturing along as the plots gets more sinister. I also like the new stylized approach Cuaron took. I like how the kids are maturing along as the plots gets more sinister. I also like the new stylized approach Cuaron took. It is quite different from the first two but I like that. The twist at the end is really good and well executed by good acting by Rickman, Radcliffe, and Oldman.
Ah yes, the first real taste of the teenage Harry Potter. Sirius Black is going to murder everyone!!! Good movie, loved the chemistry of Harry's character and his professor that turns into a werewolf. Nice continuation of the series!
This is where the HP movies started to go off track, however gotta give props to Alfonso Cuaron for his directing.
The new Mexican director dissapointed me. Casual clothes and ridiculous camera angles? No no no.
Harry was growing more and more mature and this time he faced more challenge
He finally knew that Sirius Black was his godfather and rumored will kill Harry
But Harry found out that Black was his father's friend and became upset

It's the main part of The Prisoner of Azkaban
Action is less than the previous movie, but still have good storyline
I think Harry's appearance in this movie is the most handsome than the others!!
Après la fadeur de Colombus, CUaron prend le relais pour livrer une adaptation intelligente et très soignée, dommage qu'il n'a pas continué la saga.

This is a luminous movie -- luminous, imaginative and affecting. For Harry Potter, at least, the third time is the charm.full review
The first true Harry Potter movie -- the first to capture not only the books' sense of longing, but their understanding of the way magic underlies the mundane, instead of just prancing fancifully at a far remove from it.full review
Thanks to director Alfonso Cuaron, a dazzling storyteller with a keen eye for whimsical detail, the third film in the Potter franchise is a visual delight.full review
This chapter leaves me little enthused for the future.full review
In Cuaron's hands, the world of Harry Potter doesn't feel like a synthetic movie theme park anymore. It's almost real, Hogwarts and all.full review
The world of Harry Potter remains delightful, amusing and sophisticated.full review
The third Harry Potter movie is the first one that actually looks and feels like a movie, rather than a staged reading with special effects.full review
Not only is this dazzler by far the best and most thrilling of the three Harry Potter movies to date, it's a film that can stand on its own even if you never heard of author J.K. Rowling and her young wizard hero.full review
