Born with the name of Roy Harold Scherer Jr., Rock Hudson changed his name when he got into acting- not until after he returned from WWII. It was his striking good looks and impressive size that made him an obvious choice for a leading man. Best known for his several "Bedroom Comedies", Rock won many awards over the years and was nominated for an Oscar.
