Martin Sheen (born Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez) is an American actor, best known for his roles in the film Apocalypse Now and, most recently, as President Josiah Bartlet on the television drama The West Wing. His first major role was on Broadway, in The Subject Was Roses, which he recreated in the 1968 film of the same name.
