Johnny Knoxville was born Phillip John Clapp, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California. At the age of eight he had flu, pneumonia and bronchitis all at same time and nearly died. He now suffers from asthma. His dad sells used cars.
