Ethan Green Hawke was born on November 6th, 1970 in Austin, Texas, USA. His
parents, only teens when Hawke was born, split up 4 years later and he lived
with his mother, Leslie, in New Jersey. He went to school at West
Windsor-Plainsboro High School in Central New Jersey, where he was in the
production "Great Expectations". Hawke attended the Hun school of Princeton
and his theater production led him to be in cast in "Explorers", opposite of

Drama in Pittsburgh, PA, but dropped out after only 5 months of attending,
to be cast as the role of timid Todd Anderson in the 1989 film, "Dead Poets
society". Hawke then moved to New York City and began working on films such
as "White Fang" or "Mystery Date", (both in 1991). Through the years he
directed a number of films and wrote a couple of books, along with acting.
In May 1998, he finally got married to Uma Thurman, after being denied
twice, and he has 2 children. Maya Ray Thurman Hawke, born July 8th, 1998,
and Roan Thurman Hawke, born on January 15, 2002. After about 6 years of
marriage to Uma Thurman the couple split. Hawke is continuing with his work
never the less.
