Biography: Biography: Demi Lovato was born in Dallas, Texas. She started acting at the age of 6, when she landed her first series regular role as Angela on Barney & Friends. She became best friends with her co-star Selena Gomez, who played Gianna on the show. According to an interview Selena Gomez had with GL Magazine, they are still good friends today. As time went on Lovato pursued her singing and instrumental career and wasn't acting but, recently, Lovato has been a guest star on Prison Break, Split End... ... (read more...) s (pilot) and Just Jordan. In January of 2007 Lovato landed a series regular role on the new Disney Channel original short series, As the Bell Rings as Charlotte, which premiered on August 26, 2007 during Disney's back to school special night. Lovato is going to be starring as the role of Mitchie Torres for a new Disney Channel Original Movie, called Camp Rock which also stars the Jonas Brothers. It is set to premiere in 2008. Demi also just booked the part of Jenny in a new pilot for Disney Channel called Sketchpad. Lovato is also a singer/songwriter as well as an accomplished musician, playing guitar and piano since the age of eleven. This skill is proven on As The Bell Rings.
