Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American R&B and pop singer, dancer, and occasional actor who rose to fame in mid 2005 with his Billboard Hot 100 number-one, Scott Storch-produced debut single "Run It!", featuring Juelz Santana. His self-titled debut album produced four successful top ten and top twenty hits in the United States. To date, the album has sold 1.6 million copies in the U.S. and 3 million worldwide.

Other than his singing career, Brown has begun some ... ... (read more...) acting. He made a short appearance on UPN's One on One in March 2006. Chris Brown guest starred in The Brandon T. Jackson Show on the pilot episode. He made a short appearance. He also has made his way to movies. Brown is slated to make his screen debut in Stomp The Yard (originally titled Steppin') alongside Ne-Yo, Meagan Good and Columbus Short which is set to hit theatres by January 12, 2007. Production for the movie began in June 2006. Brown will portray an ambitious dancer and the younger brother of the lead character, played by Columbus Short.

Brown is also scheduled to have a reoccuring role as a band geek in the fourth season of FOX's The O.C.. The handful of episodes he appears in will begin airing in January.
