Biography:
Bruno Ganz debuted in the theatre in 1961 and there he gained a reputation as a solid young actor. In 1970, he and Peter Stein founded the theatre company "Schaubuehne" of Berlin. His film debut in 1960 was early and unsuccessful. Only after <i>Sommergaeste</i> (1975) was he able to show his talent as a reflexive actor with tendencies towards introspection.
