Biography:
Alan Alda (born Alfonso Joseph D'Abruzzo) is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning American actor, writer, director and sometime political activist.He is most famous for his role as Hawkeye Pierce in the television series M*A*S*H. In the 1970s and 1980s he was viewed as the archetypal "sensitive male," though in recent years he has appeared in roles which counter that image.

- really like watching MASH. My nephew was in Iraq and he was injured by a bullet. I bet he wished his medical station was as funny as your MASH unit. He is home now and healing slowly. I'm glad I know someone who shares my birthday. Thanks for doing your job so well.
