Biography:
Alfredo James "Al" Pacino is an Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Tony Award-winning American stage and film actor, regarded by many to be one of the seminal actors of his generation. Starting on the stage, Pacino gained recognition in Hollywood with the 1972 blockbuster <i>The Godfather</i> and the 1973 film <i> Serpico</i>. He turned down Born on the Fourth of July (1989), turned down Apocalypse Now (1979), and turned down the role of Han Solo in Star Wars (1977).
