Welcome to Familiars

Familiars are the animals that represent your true personality. Your friends can vote for what animal type they think your familiar should be. Using these votes and by studying your social behaviour on Facebook, your familiar will choose an animal form.

Your familiar will change their form whenever they think your personality changes. So if you are very social one week your familiar might be a rabbit or other social creature; the next week when you are quieter your familiar will change to reflect this.

You can tell your familiar what kind of animal you want it to be, but it knows how you behave so will always reflect your true personality.

Trial Terms

Before you agree to take part in the trial, please read the information below.

1. The goal of the game is to test how we can enrich your gaming experience by providing you with new kinds of information about your interactions with other players.
2. To understand your interactions, the tool captures information about your in-game interactions with other users. The data is stored on a secure central server. PASION uses the data to calculate the "social indicators" we show on users' screens. The only information we capture is the name of the sender and the receiver, the medium used (email, Skype etc.) and the time and date of the communication. The information shown on user screens pools data from many users. The only people who can see information about individuals and their communications are PASION researchers, who will use it exclusively for purposes of research. All data will be treated as strictly confidential. Under no circumstances will we give this information to other users or to third parties (e.g. your boss, marketing companies).
3. During the tests we will ask you to fill in 2 short questionnaires which we will use to assess the software. We would much appreciate your collaboration.
