Certainty #2 - In a world of uncertainty, we can ____________ on __________ for all things.
Certainty #3 - Jesus is true _________ and ___________ life, and we ____________ to Him!
Scripture Readings
1 John 5:13-21
Take It With You!
As we spend our Summer growing in the love of God, it will be helpful for everyone to be reading through 1 John daily. Here helpful insights will be offered to aid in your study.
Matthew 7:9-12 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
The Christian way does not eliminate sin in the community. Christians don't become sinless. The only sane (and biblical) approach to sin is through expiation/forgiveness, the sacrificial and operative center of which is Jesus Christ-forgiveness moved by love. Sin confessed and forgiven frees us to develop relationships of love with our Lord and one another.
Eugene Peterson, Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places.
And in the end, the end is
Oceans and oceans
Of love and love again
We'll see how the tears that have fallen
Were caught in the palms
Of the Giver of love and the Lover of all
And we'll look back on these tears as old tales
