A truly amazing novel. I savored and enjoyed every page. It reminded me of The Thorne Birds somehow. This is something that will be on my pile of comfort, re-readable books.

A good intro to fantasy book, especially for those who might find Tolkien tedious and boring. A bit lacking in terms of war descriptions though. Still, I think Pug is one of the more likeable characters of fantasy.

I'm still trying to plod through this volume.

All the literary references were fun at the start, but got a wee bit too distracting, annoying, and pretentious towards the middle. Still, a fun read, and until now, I'm still figuring out who killed Hannah Schneider.

A bit long winded at the start. Impressive world building. I knew I shouldn't have started this series because now I'm going to have to read the next one, and the next, until I again come to the point where I have to wait for the next unfinished installment. Still, Erikson's pace in churning out books has been more favorable than some, so I look forward to more adventures in his world.
