Unbowed is a great book, and Wangari is a great activist who doesn't take no for answer. It's so sad that ethnic divisions still constitute an obstacle to peace in many parts of the world. She does a good job in connecting environmental issues with politics and other important social issues such as women's empowerement. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand what's going in Kenya and other countries those days.
Great book. Yunus vision and work need political will to make poverty history or he aptly puts it the world should have" poverty museums". I agree with Jess when she said that the book is redutant in parts, other than that, it's a great book and the redundancy is probably to good way to bring awareness to the issue.
A great book that examines and provides solutions for the American schooling crisis.
This book can come handy for everybody specially teachers, parents and students. It's a great self-discovery tool and it breaks down difficult concepts in such details that it's accessible to all readers. I really enjoyed reading
It sums up all the characteristics of effective teachers. If you an education senior, this book does a great job of putting together concepts that you've studied in your classes.
This book is simply a masterpiece. It questions so many things that are wrong in the way certain people in some parts of the world are sterotyped, discriminated and most importantly forgotten about. I definitely recommend this book to everybody because it promotes peace, mutual understanding and acceptance. Assalamaleikoum!!!
